The City Of Deerfield Beach is located in Broward County and it borders the city of Pompano Beach to the South and Palm Beach County to the North. Deerfield Beach was founded in 1925 and it has about 50,000 residents.

Since then, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Deerfield Beach has been vital to the lifeblood of the community. Today the parks system carries on the tradition through 266 developed acres at 30 sites.  The recreational department sponsors a wide variety of special events throughout the year including Mango Festival, Founder's Day, Beach Blowout, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Women's Professional Volleyball, the Super Boat Grand Prix and Moonlight Melodies Summer Beach Concerts.

In addition to great schools and many family oriented activities, Deerfield Beach also offers a Department of Senior Services which provides quality programs and services to promote social, physical, and psychological well-being in response to the needs of adults, seniors and children of Deerfield Beach and northern Broward County.
