The City of Lauderdale Lakes was founded in 1961 originally popular as a retirement area for Northeasterners, notably New Yorkers who were members of the Jewish religion and is located in the heart of Broward County. Lauderdale Lakes has a population of over 31,000 residents and it is approximately 3.6 square miles in size. One of the city’s characteristics is the unique cultural diversity of its residents.
