The City of Lauderdale Lakes was founded in
1961 originally popular as a
retirement area for Northeasterners, notably New Yorkers
who were members of the Jewish religion and is
located in the heart of Broward
County. Lauderdale Lakes
has a population of over 31,000 residents and it is approximately 3.6 square
miles in size. One of the city’s characteristics is the unique cultural
diversity of its residents. The city of Lauderdale
Lakes offers its residents recreational parks and diverse recreational
activities where the city’s parks and leisure services department hosts a
variety of events throughout the year, each of which carefully planned and
executed to ensure success and community satisfaction.
